Hindu Samhati is a NGO which regularly monitors and reports violence against Hindus in West Bengal. It also works with both governmental and other NGO agencies for proper education on protection and ensures remedies to the Hindu populace as per prevailing law of the land. Within only six years since it was founded by nationalist leader Sri Tapan Ghosh in 2008, Hindu Samhati has become icon of hope to Hindus in West Bengal. From Sunderban to Shantipur, from Bolpur to Barasat, wherever Hindus have been attacked, activists of Hindu Smahati have stood by them and fought for their cause. There is no other organization in West Bengal which works for Hindus irrespective of their political colours, caste & class.Once, there is any report of attack on Hindus, Hindu Samhati works in three phases To bring the attention of concerned authorities to that and force them to take proper action, spreading the news from different platforms to make people aware of the incident andreach to the victims and ensure their safety. Be it Deganga or Naliakhali, be it Panchla or Sandeshkhali, wherever Hindus have become a target of jihadi attack, they have found the activistsHindu Samhati beside them. Hindu Samhati has strong dominance inapprox. 12 districts of West Bengal and can influence votes in about 70-80 assembly constituencies in those districts. Media and political parties in West Bengal have always been silent over the jihadi threats to Hindus thanks to their petro-dollar enriched fund. So, prior to establishment of Hindu Samhati, all the jihadi conspiracies which were being kept under the carpet are not only being publicized but also receiving stiff challenges from Hindu Samhati.
