The whole Central Kolkata, today, tasted the fruit of Mamata?s secular tree. So far, only villages have tasted the fruit but today people of the city also got their share as well. In their exercise to show their might, Didi?s peace loving brothers blocked the Sealdah region - considered as one of the nerve centers of the city - since 2 PM but Didi's police did not dare arrest them or disperse them and provide some relief to civic people. The dispute started when, on 2nd August, Railway Police took detention of some madrassa students who didn?t have proper documents with them. The agitation started from Raja Bazar, nearby place of Sealdah, and then extended to the whole region. Traffic became standstill throughout the area resulting tremendous inconvenience to commuters. But police could not gather enough courage to disperse the agitators and just acted as mute spectator.Intensity of the agitation went higher with the fall of evening. Agitators smashed one kiosk of police near Sealdah station which was followed by rampage at shops under the flyover and nearby Shishir Market. Then they went on to damage 4 buses and a tram. All these took place in front of police without any resistance from them. Then thousands of peace loving mob marched towards Moulali with "Allh Hu Akbar" slogan. They did not even spare the cars parked on their way.People in general shall remain unaware of this important incident thanks to peculiar policy of main stream media. Media always suppress the stories where accused are Muslims and victims are Hindus or Govt. properties. So, people remain in dark from upcoming danger. And this darkness is making way for the repetition of another 1947.
